Long-range shooting with QR codes

Our Solutions

for various areas of shooting.

Scan&Shoot QR codes are multi-functional. They serve as website links and also as parameter input to ballistic laser rangefinders and riflescopes.

Therefore, you can scan the code with your phone and be taken to a web application. Scan the code with ballistic equipment and do an offline computation with the loaded parameters.

Sport

Easily determine shooting parameters for commercial and reloaded ammunition, taking into account the atmosphere and shooting range.

The following QR code is an example which will take you to the ballistics app. The QR code can also be printed on ammo boxes for faster on-site preparation.

  • 308 Win HPBT 190 gr/12.3 g
  • up to 1.000 m, 50m steps
  • parameters:
    • BC G7 = 0.267
    • Vo = 809 m/s
    • AbPr = 968 hPa, T = 22°C
    • RH = 78%
    • Wind = 1 m/s, 90°

Hunting

The laser rangefinder is an expensive, yet useful device for hunters.

Therefore it is important to be able to easily, quickly and free-of-error change parameters of ammunition in the ballistic laser rangefinder to shoot at distant targets.

This is made possible by the QR code by which the hunter marks the hunting weapon and the ammunition used. This will ensure the shooting ammunition is the same one as loaded into ballistic rangefinder. Scanning a QR code is a quick process.

  • 308 Win SP 190 gr/12.3 g
  • table up to 500 m, 50m steps
  • parameters:
    • BC G7 = 0.185
    • Vo = 800 m/s
    • Atmosphere ICAO
    • Wind = 1 m/s 90°

Military and tactical

QR codes can be placed on packaging and ammunition boxes. It is also possible to use other 2D barcodes on packaging.

This radio-free (unlike Bluetooth etc.) method of transmitting data into ballistic rangefinders or riflescopes prevents shooter unmasking in case of radio detection techniques in a hostile territory.

  • 338 LM HPBT 300 gr/19.44 g
  • display directly number of riflescope clicks for laser-measured distance (eg. 2000 m)
  • parameters:
    • BC G7 = 0.390
    • Vo = 830 m/s
    • Atmosphere ICAO
    • Wind = 1 m/s 90°
